This afternoon Papa, and the boys worked on building a bike shed for our bikes. We used a wood fence from our neighbor to build the walls. Above is a diagram of what we have finished so far.

History is finished!

Today, I finished my BJU history, “To Know the Past.” I watched 76 twenty-eight minute long lessons. My teacher, Mrs. Moon, packed the videos with fun activities. She mentioned a Bible verse in each lesson which I was very happy about. I recommend it to anyone who is in fifth or sixth grade. The textbook explained the history very well. We started with the days of Abraham and worked all the way to the medieval times. The homework varied in how challenging it was. I was very well pleased with the quality of the Bible verse filled lessons and how Mrs. Moon was easy going through out the whole entire book.

MY Mothers Day Experience

On Mother’s Day we had a nice picnic lunch at Ravine Gardens in Palatka. It was Mama's idea to have the picnic because that is what her mother liked to do. We boys brought our baseball gloves and a baseball along with us. We had been playing catch for a while when our ball fell into a stream. The ball was swept along and sucked up into a pipe. We stopped playing catch and took a family picture on the swaying bridge.

After we were done at Ravine Gardens, we drove to Paynes Prairie near Gainesville. Paynes Prairie is a place where wild horses and wild bison live. We climbed up a lookout tower where, surprisingly Nehemiah and I saw a deer. We could tell it was a deer from the way it ran.

After we were done at Paynes Prairie we drove to a Starbucks where Papa, Mama, and Anne ordered frappuccinos. Papa had a coconut frappichino. Then Papa brought us to Taco Bell. I ordered a cheesy double decker, a soft taco with meat and melted cheese underneath a hard taco that was what you would normally get. It was very good.

When we got home we had cake and Jello . Elijah made the Jello and Nehemiah made the cake. I really enjoyed both of them.

As you can see the rest of the family and I had a wonderful Mothers Day.

Fish Recipe

I like this fish recipe.

(You will need a filleted fish.)

Ingredients:

Golden dip fish batter
one fish fillet
Hidden Valley Ranch dressing package
Vegetable oil (to fill deep fat fryer half way)

Make batter according to package directions. Cut fish into 2" pieces. Oil should be heated to the appropriate frying temperature. Dip fish in batter and place in hot oil. The fish is done when it floats to the top and is golden and crispy. You can serve it with Hidden Valley Ranch dip.
